Hi people...long time no blog hur...
Anyway, today is a sunday and I have no idea how come i dont have a mood to fly my chopper. Went to buy a new camera today as a result.
Anyway, the past week, i had my Mount Carmel Youth Camp 2006 and it was really fun!
Bonded alot with my friends and also made ALOT more new friends. Now i also know almost all the JC/Poly guys.
And so..the camp theme was 'back to basics'
So our groups were Barium, Carbon, Potassium, Helium, Sulphur, Iodine and Caesium.

My group was Sulphur and my group leaders were Lionel and Lizz. Team members were Vivien, Mark Choo, Shi Hui , Stacey, Hoy Meng, Tessa, Qing Yi and myself. Hope i dint miss out anyone =\
Tessa was the only P6 girl amongst us and the most lively...lalala..KIDS... =.="
Qing Yi is sec1 from SCGS
Shi Hui is sec2 from RGS
Stacey and I were in sec3 and Stacey is from RGS also -.-
Lionel and Vivien are in sec4 from Kent Ridge and Nan Hua respectivly
Hoy Meng and Mark are in JC/Poly
Im not so sure abt Lizz though...i think she's sec4
First day was dirty..REAL DIRTY.
It started off by trying to get people knowing one another by playing 'Honey I love you. Will you smile for me?'
So obviously you had to find someone from the opposite gender...luckily i nv kena =x
Then came the dirty games...
They made us crawl on a sheet full of potato starch with water, raw egg..blablabla..
made us put our hand into a bucket of mashed up food-nonsense
made us sit/touch/step on mashed banana, ketchup, wet flour.
On the 2nd day...DAMN LAH!
OUR GROUP HAD TO LEAD MORNING WORSHIP! I WAS THE WORSHIP LEADER! WTF!!! /bhead
But Im really thankful that Stacey and Lizz encouraged me all the way.
Then later in the morning, we had 'The Amazing Race' in which we went around Singapore completing obstacle courses in which our final destination was the Boy's/Girl's Brigade Campsite in Sembawang.
The most scary one was when we had to do the reverse bungee at Clarke Quay. Holy shit...that things scared the hell out of me!
The entire race lasted about 6hours and we got to the campsite at 5pm...we started out at 11am i think...
3rd day..we played the real-life version of 'The Game of Life'...nice game with nice games. Then at night, we had the night games which were DAMN fun!!
Then on the 4th day..a friday, we had a tresure hunt in which all of us in the team were slacking...not motivated to play at all. =.=
Then that night, we had BBQ dinner with was great.
Then at 11pm, the whole camp members had to gather to share our thoughts and feelings about the camp since it was the final night.
For me, I made alot of new friends and I now know my DCG classmates even better after all the bonding we had during the camp. I kinda felt closer to God also...i have no idea why..but it was a strange feeling. Like what uncle Aaron said today that 'It is not by chance but by God's grace.'
So for the last night, I stayed up with a couple of friends in room 45 and talked crap and played cards till 4am till i was sleepy enough. I got up at 7.30am. 3.5 hrs sleep =\\
After i bathed, i went down to the field to play frisbee with the Chins, Jason and Stacey.
After this camp, Im pretty committed to having my quiet time with God everyday. Guess I'm a different person from now on....
